Executive Producer
A major executive officer within the entertainment industry, but one whose role varies from company to company, and from production to production. In television, the showrunner executive producer retains hands-on control over every aspect of the production and will supervise the segment producers. In film, the executive producer more typically manages the financial aspects of the project on behalf of the studio or financier. For both television and film, some executive producers are involved in name only.
